Charlatte Model CBT600G/D medium duty tractor is a self-propelled support vehicle designed for long haul, heavy duty cargo or small aircraft pushback applications, similar to the "Bob Tail" type vehicles currently in use in today's airline operations. The unit is designed to withstand the severe operational requirements encountered in today's ramp environment. The rear of the tractor has a full width and height steel plate angled at 45 degrees, which improves hitch area visibility and prevents rear bumper and fender damage. In addition, the angled rear design allows 105+ degree turns without damage to tow bars and eliminates the need for a tow bar hitch extension.

Power for the main drive system is supplied by an internal combustion engine and has a drawbar pull of 6000 lbs (2721.6 kg). The modular chassis design allows for several engine options. All power plants utilize an automatic transmission with shift inhibitor. The operators compartment contains all the controls and indicators necessary to drive the unit including foot operated accelerator pedal and brake pedal, directional lever, ignition switch, light switch, and horn switch.
