The HK750 SRM is the backbone of a high density, high performance mini-load system. A mini-load system is based upon the concept of bringing material to the operator rather than having the operator search for the material. The system provides high density staging of material by utilizing pans that completely fill the rack structure. The pans are typically 24’ by 48’ in a variety of heights. Each pan can be subdivided into smaller compartments for better utilization of space or for grouping kit components.
The HK750 is a single mast, computer controlled stacker crane. The crane rides on a floor rail and is stabilized over-head with a steel guide tube. The HK750 uses chain driven extraction fingers to grab a pan and pull it onto the load platform. The load platform moves vertically with a steel rope hoist system. Reversing the extraction chain will cause the pan to be deposited on an operator workstation or back in its location in the rack structure. The HK750 has been designed for continuous operation at full system capacities.
The mini-load system improves operator satisfaction and productivity. The operator can easily select, kit, or replenish material from the ergonomically designed workstations. Wasted time looking for lost or misplaced parts is eliminated.
